The widow had come to this Gentile judge because she received no help even from the Jewish synagogue, and she may have lost her husband because of her adversary. The judge refused for some time, but because the widow kept coming, he became annoyed and decided, "Yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice.”
